Fairly clean hotel in a very pleasant building really close to Chester and Zoo. Quirky property with a central location close to the railway station. For tea or coffee visit Hobson's Cafe nearby.

The staff at the hotel very helpful and attentive, especially the receptionist who kindly recommended an excellent restaurant and even called to make me a reservation. There was adequate parking, and I was able to park very close to the room, the room itself was a good size, and was warm, clean and comfortable and wasn't adversely affected by traffic noise (the dawn chorus was louder) The continental breakfast was good with an extra option of a full English. The location was good, the city centre was only 15-20 minutes’ walk (albeit on a busy main road, but there are plenty of crossings available and a wide pavement) there is also a handy shopping area close by.
